The Gallery Pedestal was commissioned by clients on Long Island, both of whom are artists. They needed a pedestal with a midcentury vibe to hold a sculpture made by legendary sculptor Henry Moore.
We worked through the design process together, with attention to the wood species, their foyer space, and the Moore sculpture.
The Gallery Pedestal is crafted from hand selected solid walnut, turned on a lathe, and sealed with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish.
